Academic Integrity

Welcome to the Academic Integrity section of the eLibrary. Maintaining honesty and responsibility in your academic work is essential for your success and reputation as an EIT student. This section provides everything you need to understand and uphold academic integrity throughout your studies.

Explore key topics like plagiarism and referencing, how to use tools like Turnitin, guidelines on copyright, the responsible use of generative AI, and support resources if you’re facing academic challenges. By following these principles, you ensure that your work is original, credible, and respected by your peers and future employers.

Take the time to familiarise yourself with these important guidelines — they form the foundation of your learning and professional development.

All students are required to complete a mandatory Academic Integrity Module to gain access to their course. This module is available on Moodle, and your Learning Support Officer (LSO) will provide further information as you begin your studies.

Please visit the Policies and Procedures section of the EIT website for the list of all EIT policies and procedures related to all aspects of teaching and learning. There is a dedicated section on Ethics, Integrity and Conduct
