EIT is continuously striving to improve its library offering. In order to better support students, specifically research students, EIT is investing in more subscriptions designed to support high-level research and study. This includes additional subscriptions to academic journals.
Below are three collections added in 2026, covering key civil and mechanical eJournals. Please use the search bar on the main library page to search within these collections. You can use the menu on the left-hand-side in the search to filter by collection.
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
As of February 2026, EIT subscribes to all journals published by ASME. This includes 35 journals from 2000 to the present.
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
As of February 2026, EIT subscribes to five journals published by ASCE. This includes access to the backfile from 1983 to the present for the following:
- Journal of Bridge Engineering
- Journal of Structural Engineering
- Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering
- Journal of Computing in Civil Engineering
- Journal of Construction Engineering and Management
The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
As of February 2026, EIT subscribes to the ICE Publishing Current Journals Collection. This includes 29 journals with archive access back to 2003.
